Information Architect

As the Information Architect within this small and friendly government agency based in the city....

- Contribute to and maintain the information architecture component of the agency's enterprise architecture and promote continuous improvement of information governance practices;
- Work with and advise project teams, database administrators and Datawarehouse specialists to ensure that data models and data structures align with the architecture strategy and support effective access to quality information holdings;
- Create information architecture and interface schematics and ensure that design and interface elements of the agency's projects complement the underlying information architecture;
- Contribute to user interface design through the support of effective navigation within and between the agency's web, .Net, off-the-shelf and mobile applications, particularly where there is a large transactional requirement;
- Maintain functional specification documentation, contribute to business process improvements and maintain up to date use cases related to information flows;
- Stay abreast of new and innovative trends in the information architecture discipline; and
- Provide technical advice to other staff and participate in skills transfer as required and mentor junior staff.
- Demonstrated ability to visualise, articulate, plan and document complex technical problems, solutions and concepts for commercial-off-the-shelf and custom built applications.
- Application and information architecture
- Datamodelling user interface design requirements frameworks/models, standards, and best practices business and technology (application and information architecture and user interface design) trends and capabilities.
- Information architecture/design documentation both conceptual and logical
- Communicate with senior management, business users, 3rd party vendors and technical staff.
- Work both individually and as part of a team of professionals with a diverse range of skills.

AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP is a requirement of this position.

Additionally a minimum of Baseline or Protect level clearance, ideally you will hold an existing SECRET or NV1 clearance.
