ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the development of group health and wellness reporting, analysis, special projects, and presentations.
- Acts as a business partner with Sales, Underwriting, Human Resources, IT and Marketing by coordinating, supporting and aligning health and wellness reporting with all other group reporting.
- Represents Business Intelligence in cross-functional activities that impact department operations.
- Prepares in-depth self-reported health and wellness reporting and analysis.
- Responds to ad-hoc requests.
- Actively contributes to the development and execution of an on-going health and wellness reporting and analysis modelling and impact to customers.
- Prepares health and wellness customer trends.
- Prepares and presents analytic reports and business recommendations to internal customers.
- Analyzes business needs and own design, development and maintenance phases for data collection and retrieval tools needed to enhance reporting (Microsoft Access databases, queries, pivot tables, etc.)
- Identifies appropriate comparator criteria and incorporates into reporting.
- Owns the retrieval of data sets to support reporting activities on a regular basis.
- Produces internal monitoring reports that allow quick understanding of programs' performance, needs, etc.
- Manages relationship and communication with business partners and vendors.
- Organizes and manages time to effectively prioritize the workload.
- Demonstrates significant skill in explaining technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Supports Sales during presentation or discussions to brokers/groups regarding all employer reporting.
- Helps provide the opportunity to improve customer satisfaction and positively impact business results.
- Supports coordination and analysis of health and wellness program life cycle and sales forecasting.
- Supports continual process improvement activities to ensure streamlined, systematic approach to group reporting while utilizing standard tools (automating existing reporting processes, fine-tuning available reporting tools, standardization of available processes to allow for "seamless" transitions into other applications)
- Provides staff support to the Manager of Wellness Services in a number of health and wellness analysis activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Public Health, Nursing or related field (MBA a plus)
- Minimum of three years of experience in analytic disciplines such as market analysis, data management, employer reporting, performance modelling, and trend analysis required
- Demonstrated ability to retrieve complex data sets from internal systems to support ongoing product enrollment analysis activities
- Demonstrated proficiency with data access/reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase), SAS, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare complex models to report product-specific results
- Ability to think analytically, apply analytical techniques and to provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to employer groups using critical thinking and sound judgment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of the work force
- Extensive experience working with complex PC software and systems
- Ability to participate in group level analytics needs assessments/meetings
- Ability to participate in a team atmosphere to achieve department goals and objectives consistent with corporate vision and strategies
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
