Informatica (ETL) Developer/Designer

During the initial stage, they expect the person to engage in development and understand the frameworks and environment. Once comfortable, they will start expanding the engagement from single project to multiple projects and start asking you to play a solution designer role.

In solution designer role, the primary responsibility will be to provide leadership in ETL design area, ensure the implementation of ETL process, identify reusability, review and suggest the best solution, align multiple project/design learning's etc.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- 10 years experience in DATA INTEGRATION and DATA WAREHOUSING
- 4+ years hands on ETL experience
- INFORMATICA POWERCENTER 8 and above - in both design and development
- Strong Design, Build and Unit testing skills
- Demonstrated design experience that leverages off the reuse capabilities of Informatica and takes into account the big picture impact
- ORACLE DATABASE experience, including ability to write moderately complex SQL QUERIES, good understanding of relational databases and tuning in an Informatica environment
- Proficient in UNIX, including ability to write SHELL/ANT SCRIPTS etc
- CONTROL-M EXPERIENCE - coding jobs and monitoring
- Good communication skills - strong written and verbal skills (including listening skills)
- Demonstrated abilities in troubleshooting and problem resolution both in the technical and non-technical realm
- Experience in interacting with multiple teams (project, support etc) and expectation management
- CLEARCASE experience desirable
- Proactive and motivated
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
- Ability to work under time pressure
