Our client, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies based in Basel, is looking for an Informatica Developer with strong hands-on experience on data management such as with data warehousing experience.

This is a contracting role based in Basel and planned to start beginning of August until end of the year.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

During this project you will be responsible for developing a working Informatica Business Glossary solution based on functional and technical design specifications.

In addition you will work closely with business analysts, Global Business Process owner, to understand business design and technical requirements, develop a catalog structure and defining taxonomies in Informatica.

TASKS:

Work closely with functional core team to understand business design and requirements
-

Work with Business Analyst to Review and understand functional and technical design specification
-

Translate functional and technical design specification into a working Business Glossary solution
-

Develop Business Glossary catalog structure, defining taxonomies, asset types, forms, templates, workflow and Glossary capabilities to meet user requirements
-

Perform Testing of all developed glossary functions and document test results
-

Perform solution walkthrough with core team
-

Support development of interfaces, reports and user Front End interface
-

Support test planning and use case development
-

Support user testing and resolve issues
-

Support user acceptance testing and resolve issues
-

Perform post go-live support

IDEAL PROFILE:

-

Bachelor's degree in computer science, analytics or related field
-

5+ YEARS of HANDS-ON DATA MANAGEMENT/data warehousing EXPERIENCE
-

3+ years of experience in INFORMATICS POWERCENTER DEVELOPMENT with direct development experience with BUSINESS GLOSSARY
-

Recent experience as a developer with Informatica Business Glossary
-

EXPERTISE IN IMPLEMENTING/using INFORMATICA TOOLS such as Business Glossary, Informatica Data Quality, MDM, PowerCenter

EXPERIENCE using INFORMATICA ANALYST/METADATA MANAGER for glossary purposes
-

Technical expertise with ETL, SQL, Databases, Data Management, Data Warehousing
-

Ability to clearly communicate issues and proposed solutions
-

Ability to identify optimal approaches for resolving business requirements/issues to achieve targets
-

Knowledge of DATA GOVERNANCE CONCEPTS
-

Experience with data or software development life cycle
-

Strong problem-solving skills
-

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
