INFORMATICA DEVELOPER

PROJECT BACKGROUND:

The Pharma Product Development (PDP) Data Governance Office (DGO) is implementing a Pharma wide Business Glossary tool (Informatica), associated business processes and support infrastructure to enable Pharma users to create and maintenance data definitions and standards.

Main tasks:

Responsible for developing a working Informatica Business Glossary solution based on functional and technical design specifications. Work closely with Business analysts, Global Business Process owner, to understand business design and technical requirements and develop a catalog structure and defining taxonomies in Informatica.

- Work closely with functional core team to understand business design and requirements
- Work with Business Analyst to Review and understand functional and technical design specification
- Participate is workshops as needed with business users and stakeholders to review and understand requirements
- Translate functional and technical design specification into a working Business Glossary solution
- Develop Business Glossary catalog structure, defining taxonomies, asset types, forms, templates, workflow and Glossary capabilities to meet user requirements
- Perform Testing of all developed glossary functions and document test results
- Perform solution walkthrough with core team
- Support development of interfaces, reports and user Front End interface
- Support test planning and use case development
- Support user testing and resolve issues
- Support glossary data loads and resolve issues
- Support user acceptance testing and resolve issues
- Perform post go-live support

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years of hands-on data management/data warehousing experience
- 3+ years of experience in Informatics PowerCenter development with direct development experience with Business Glossary
- Must have previous/most recent experience as a developer with Informatica Business Glossary
- Expertise Implementing/using Informatica Tools such as Business Glossary, Informatica Data Quality, MDM, PowerCenter
- Experience using Informatica Analyst/Metadata Manager for glossary purposes
- Technical expertise: ETL, SQL, Databases, Data Management, Data Warehousing
- Ability to clearly communicate issues and proposed solutions
- Ability to identify optimal approaches for resolving business requirements/issues to achieve targets
- Knowledge of Data Governance concepts
- Experience with data or software development life cycle
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, analytics or related field
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

WORK LOCATION: BASEL AREA (1 OR 2 DAYS REMOTE WORK POSSIBLE PRIOR TO AGREEMENT)
