Info Security Analyst, Firewall Administrator Job

INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST, FIREWALL ADMINISTRATOR needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Firewall policy implementation
- Ability to document and asses current Firewall infrastructure

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Implement Firewall policy changes using a risk based approach
- Assist with troubleshooting network connectivity as it relates to Firewalls and routing
- Monitor, respond, and provide resolution for Firewall or network related problems and incident tickets
- Utilize PICCASO ticketing system and Eforms database to document status updates and problem resolutions
- Document and Assess Firewall infrastructure
- Gateway and console software upgrades and maintenance
- Determine security issues and gaps by using a risk based approach
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow and security posture
- The position requires minimal travel and will report administratively to a Manager and will be based in Charlotte, NC.
- Other related duties assigned as needed

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Sr. Information Security Analyst/Firewall Admin has at least three (3) years demonstrable professional experience in networking, infrastructure support or cyber security operations.
- Minimum of three (3) years IT/technical experience is required, to include:
- Three (3) or more years of progressive IT support experience
- Knowledge of network technologies (ie Routers, Switches, load balancers, Firewalls, network and routing protocols, DNS)
- Previous experience with Checkpoint and/or Palo Alto Firewalls
