INDUSTRIAL SECURITY REP

We have a new opportunity for an INDUSTRIAL SECURITY REP to work for a large, multinational defense company in GLOUCESTER. Our client is willing to pay around £30,000 PER ANNUM

JOB DESCRIPTION

The post holder will provide support to security activities in a programme environment. Responsible for assisting in the implementation of adequate security control measures the post holder will demonstrate the ability to assure compliance in all areas of Security.

Duties will include:

Administer inward and outward visits and effectively liaise with relevant visits authorities. Support the national security vetting process providing regular status reports on pipeline progress. Administer on-site secure access controls including combination changes and record management. Fulfil the role of Cryptographic Custodian. Manage minor security incidents and implement corrective actions where required. Co-ordinate disposal of Protectively Marked waste. Fulfil the role of STRAPSO. Assist with Security related education and awareness initiatives. Assist in the development and implementation of local security procedures. Manage local document records in programme and Customer specific databases. Administer pan-system data transfers. Liaise with the Accreditor as appropriate. Support the Company Security Manager in the internal audit of security related processes to ensure compliance with relevant Governing body requirements. Support the Company Security Manager in audits by external bodies. Maintain overview of Programme Office Manager Role and where required, provide cover for this role. Provide support to the Security Officer as required by the incumbent.

DESIRED & REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Demonstrable experience in a security related role.
- Trained Crypto Custodian
- Previous STRAPSO experience
- Knowledge of Government Security Policy Framework requirements and manner of implementation across industry
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
- Discreet in the handling of personal or sensitive information.
- Experience of working on complex, multi-national programmes.
- Strong IT and communication skills.
- Self Starter.
- Composed and effective.
- Office Management Experience.
- Eligible to hold DV clearance.
