Industrial Electrician

Our client, an automotive parts manufacturer, is hiring certified Electricians to maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to line calls and equipment failures. Positions are available on the afternoon and night shifts.

Responsibilities:
Provide support for the testing, repairing and calibration of electric and electronic components;
Develop controls drawings and design concepts;
Maintain and upgrade PLC software and assist in training Team Member's on electric equipment, where required;
Respond and support all electrical maintenance requirements within the department;
Know and understand process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to the job function;
Establish and follow-up project implementation, including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning, as required;
Provide support in troubleshooting, repairing and making system improvements to ensure quality and efficiencies within the department;
Identify root cause of equipment failures and follow-up on feasibility of modifications;
Analyze, record, chart and maintain all documentation for maintenance records, projects and departments, including generating work orders and updates to SAP;
Prepare drawings and materials specifications for requisitions required by vendors or other departments;
Develop controls drawings and design concepts;
Deal with various vendors;
Participate in cross-functional training activities related to other trades, within the organization;
Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving results;
Perform preventative maintenance to defined schedules;
Assist and support in all other technical areas, where required;
Ensure all operator safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations;
Maintain a clean and environmentally safe workshop and production lines;
Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Safety, Quality and Environment programs (ie. TS16949, ISO14001);
Perform other duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ontario Certificate of Qualification, Industrial Electrician 442A;
Candidates will have a Certificate of Apprenticeship or possess a recognized equivalent (testing to validate abilities may be required);
Must provide proof of Z462 Arc Flash Certification training;
Knowledge in programming and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs required;
Knowledge in programming and troubleshooting Fanuc and Kuka robots;
Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment;
Ability to work rotating shifts;
Ability to work independently, without supervision;
Ability to work to deadlines and support multiple demands;
Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements.
