Industrial Designer

Great opportunity north for a seasoned Industrial Design Researcher with strong software design and Graphic User Interface background north of Boston Massachusetts are for a long contract position!! Large global organization seeking individual with previous GUI interface experience to be involved with all stages of product development from concept to release. This position requires a person who can lead and be the point person between the Company, software developers and end users to establish clean look and usability of new software programs. The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Industrial design (interactive design), human factors or similar and 5 years Minimum with interaction design/software development. RESPONSIBILITIES

- User research, human factor evaluation, interfacing with and managing design firms for product/ software development
- Work collaboratively with the wide array of disciplines on Company's project team for a specific product development effort
- Candidate will identify user's needs through customer visits, product use observation, and highlighting & documenting these key insights
- Facilitate brainstorms, problem solving sessions, detailed design and specification will be key interactions in the software development lead by this Industrial Design Researcher

REQUIREMENTS

- BS : Degree in Industrial design (interactive design), human factors or similar
- Minimum 5 yrs interaction design/software development experience
- must have solid background in GUI and interface design
- International travel will be required for this position
- Available immediately continuing for approximately 12 months
- Work sample or portfolio required for consideration
