Industrial Control Systems Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an INDUSTRIAL CONTROL SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN to join our global manufacturing client in Memphis, TN.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Troubleshooting and configuring PLC and DCS systems Configuring process control software and process graphics (Control Builder, HMIWeb, Safety Builder, RSNetworx, PLC logic, etc.) Assist in ensuring field devices, related to the DCS, Safety Manager, PLC, and DeviceNet systems are interfaced, tested and functioning correctly. Perform tuning of process control loops Lead and/or assist in diagnosing and correcting control system malfunctions.
- Participate as needed in functional check-outs of new equipment. Manage administrative and documentation requirements for tasks such as configuration backups, software revisions, downloading configuration changes, graphics development and modification, and implementing software changes of design. Work with Process Control professionals to implement process control improvements. Check out field devices related to the DCS, Safety Manager, PLC, and DeviceNet systems to assure field devices are interfaced, tested and functioning correctly. Responsible for security and software protection for control systems and ensure systems are backed up. Manage the control systems hardware.
- This includes troubleshooting problems with input/output errors, controllers, consoles, networks, analysing equipment failure logs, etc. and managing spare parts inventory.
- Communicate with others to ensure successful checkout, start-up, and commissioning of projects involving DCS, Safety Manager, PLCs and DeviceNet.
