INCLUSION LEARNING MENTOR

Initially for one year from 7 July 2014

Salary scale B £11,511-£12,251 pro rata (£14,227-£15,141 FTE)

35 hours pw, term time only

Are you a graduate considering a career in education or working with young people?

This role provides excellent opportunities to gain experience of working in school as a pre-requisite for other careers in education or working with young people. It will be a busy role requiring a patient, calm and caring manner, and the ability to deal with a range of situations.

You will have the chance to support pupils individually, in small groups and join a team of committed people enabling youngsters to achieve beyond their dreams.

Good organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work both as a team and independently. Empathy with students is essential, balanced with the overall aim of student independence in both learning and life skills.

Training opportunities are available for the successful candidate.

Candidates must possess Higher Education qualifications

Experience with secondary aged students would be an advantage.
