Incident Manager

For our Life Science client in Basel, we are seeking an Incident Manager

Start Date: 1st March 2016

End Date: End of Year

Your Role:

- Monitoring the IT infrastructure and handling alerts to address and prevent disruptions to applications
- Incident trouble-shooting to identify causes and organise resolutions
- When possible, take appropriate actions on the infrastructure to fix the incidents
- Collaborate with experts to find resolutions - in operations and build teams
- Communicate incidents and resolutions with appropriate customers
- Escalate recurring incidents

Your Experience:

- 6+ years in IT positions, covering a minimum of 3 from:
- OS
- Application Server
- Databases
- Network
- IAM (authentication)
- 5+ years working in environments with large datacenters (300+ Servers)
- 2+ years with monitoring and alerting tools
- Linux (Red Hat) and Windows (2008, 2012) operations
- Full stack of web applications including connections knowledge - Web Service Calls, JDBC calls
- Cloud environment is a plus
- Web application development is a plus
- Chef/Puppet is a plus
