In Service Engineer in Bedfordshire for Government Sector Organization

ROLE: IN SERVICE ENGINEER

LOCATION: RAF HENLOW, BEDFORDSHIRE  

DURATION: 2+ Months Initially with possible extension

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY REQUIREMENT:

- To provide Technical Support to the Engineering Authority, for a range of ground-based navigation aids and ATC support equipment.
- Assisting in the logistic support and maintenance of the above Navigation systems to meet operational requirements identified within the IPT Joint Business Agreements.
- Assisting in the management of Maintenance, Repair, CLS and Post Design Service contracts to sustain equipment capability in a timely and safe, cost effective manner.
- Responding to technical queries from End Users, Operational Staff, 90 SU, and Contractors.

The Role includes the following tasks:

- Prepare and staff technical instructions, modifications, local engineering instructions etc, for approval by relevant authority.
- Assist in the maintenance of service level agreements, customer service agreements and to relevant engineering standards.
- Relay advice and guidance from the Engineering Authority to users. act as interface between service provider and customer, processing enquiries from both.
- Assist in the day to day operation of their area of responsibility or specific activity, to achieve agreed results.
- Provide Admin support to process of Equipment Safety Review process.
- Minimum qualification at ONC/OND Electrical or Electronic Engineering or experience of Air Traffic Management Systems Maintenance/Support.
- Previous experience of working in or with the MOD in an engineering Support Authority would be highly desirable.
- Knowledge of DII and DE&S processes is desirable
