ROLE: IN SERVICE ENGINEER

LOCATION: ABBEYWOOD, BRISTOL

DURATION: 5+ Months Initially with possible extension

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Tech input to support procurement Provide support to customers Defect investigations Tech assistance for spares procurement Creation of Tech instructions Resolve tech problems SME for your equipment Outline
- Description of Task:
- Two experienced and qualified C2 equivalent Engineering Authority is required to enable the provision of essential engineering support.
- They will be responsible for the acquisition and through life support for various types of Plant/Ground Support Equipment in the Air domain.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- A comprehensive understanding of plant/Ground Support Equipment in the Air domain
- Mechanical engineering biased.
- Develop and maintain engineering relationships with industrial partners.
- Must have held a senior engineering supervisory position with knowledge of the military environment being a distinct advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advantageous to have experience of working within the Air Commodities area of the MoD
- Advantageous to have full project life cycle experience from initiation through development, test and delivery.
- Ability to undertake online training if the requirement for the use of asset management systems arises.
- HNC/HND or Equivalent in an Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Ideally should be IEng status with at least 2 years` experience of engineering in a senior supervisory position.

ESSENTIAL:

- Four years Senior Non Commissioned Officer in Ground Support/Equipment. (SNCO)
- The post holder must have experience with ground support equipment in Air Domain.
- The minimum level of Clearance prior to starting is SC Clearance.
