Based: Newmarket Community Hospital- Suffolk
Salary range: 16,271 - 19,268 pro rata

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced In-Patient Co-ordinator to join the Administrative team at Newmarket Community Hospital.
The post holder will work as part of a team to deliver administrative and secretarial support at this 16 bed rehabilitation hospital
Key responsibilities will include:
* Communicate effectively with the inpatient lead nurse, all healthcare teams and clinicians as well as outside contractors and the general public.
* Prepare and type a range of letters and reports including documentation for admissions and discharge.
* Collate data and produce information for local initiatives as required by managers using spreadsheets and graphical presentation
* Monitor and support training requirements for clinical staff on the ward.
* Act as the first point of contact for all the majority of incoming calls and visitors to the ward.
* Note taking at administrative team meetings.
* Responsible for liaising with clinicians and procurement department to ensure requirements are met in an efficient and cost effective way.
* Responsible for ordering stock and non-stock stores for the clinical requirements of the ward.
* Be responsible in setting up and maintaining efficient filing and administrative systems for other staff to utilise
* Carry out photocopying, faxing, filing, scanning and distribution of documents as necessary.
* Maintain and develop shared databases for use within Newmarket Community Hospital in respect of patients and staff.
Essential skills
* IT word processing qualification
* Working knowledge of MS Office applications
* Extensive secretarial/administrative experience ideally gained within a clinical/ hospital environment.
