In House Junior Lawyer - General Counsel's Office

My client a large global financial services brand is looking for an In House Junior Lawyer to work within the General Counsel's Office. The purpose of the role is to provide general legal advice and support for the business units on commercial and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities include:

- Negotiation and drafting of distribution agreements.
- Reviewing guarantee documents and surety arrangements.
- Support new product design processes.
- Support governance and approval processes.
- Provide marketing and advertising review and support.
- Providing training to business units on relevant legal matters and topical regulatory developments.
- Reviewing and revising standard agreements and documentation.
- Advising on customer loyalty and reward schemes and arrangements.

Essential Experience

- Qualified solicitor or barrister (or equivalent qualification from a common law jurisdiction provided the candidate has experience advising on English law matters) with a number of years post-qualification experience.
- Experience of advising on commercial contracts in-house or in private practice.
- Familiarity with financial services regulatory matters, ideally relating to payment services or consumer credit.
- Intellectually strong - rapid grasp of key issues.
- Solid drafting, research and negotiation/influencing skills.
- Solid analytical skills and high attention to detail.
