Impairment and Capital Calculations/Contract

Leading bank is looking for Impairment and Capital Calculations for monthly reconciliation of Impairment expense and capital position and associated accuracy for UK Retail Bank. This role involves impairment accuracy and integrity through analytics and appropriate use of accounting techniques.

Responsibilities:

- Managing multiple complexities to ensure best practises and compliance with Group Risk Impairment Policy, Model Risk policy, Retail Expected Loss Policy and FSA requirements.
- Build, develop and sustain a highly effective financial practise that will set the example for reconciliation process.
- Decision making on data and analysis.
- Communicate analytical results both technical and non technical audiences.
- Preparation and presentation of Impairment and Capital Schedules results to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

- Strong SAS skills and handling large amounts of data
- Experience of impairment and capital calculation
- Financial accounting experience, accurals and provision methodology.
