Illumination Engineer - Essex - 7 Months

An automotive client based in Essex is looking for an Illumination Engineer with Infotainment/Audio experience. This will be for an initial 7 month contract.

Role:
The candidate will have to provide the illumination design for vehicle interior electronics products including Instrument Clusters, Multimedia/Audio head-units and Climate Control head-units.

He/she will lead the development of the illumination sub-system for assigned projects to meet performance, quality, cost and timing targets. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, detailed design, component selection, optical simulation and measurement, design verification and manufacturing support
Support the development of core illumination and optical elements, solutions and processes
Diverse product range including instrument clusters, audio head units, climate head units, aftermarket applications.
Complex workload with multiple programs supported simultaneously.

Skills:
Illumintation system design and simulation
Light tools software experience, optical design and simulation
LED technologies and their principles of operation
Development of optical/illumination systems for high volume manufacture
