IDTS Nurse - Merseyside

Our client has a job vacancy for an Integrated Drug Treatment Service (IDTS) Nurse to work in Merseyside. This vacancy has an immediate start and an initial 3 month contract. The pay rate for this role is £18-25 per hour (limited company worker).

Duties:
- Providing a holistic package of care to patients within the prison system, whilst working closely with the MDT. - Assessing health needs, and subsequent planning, delivery and evaluation of care.
- Supervising the work of nursing assistants.
- Assessing physical and mental health of prisoners on admission to the prison.
- Administering medication as prescribed by the doctor within the guidelines for medication administration.
- Assessing and treating patients with minor ailments and injuries or refer to the appropriate unit.
- Responding to medical emergencies within the prison.
- Identifying those that are at risk of self harm and implement plans to reduce risk.

Requirements:
All applicants must be a fully Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and have a valid NMC Pin. You must also have at least 2 years recent post qualifying experience working within a similar role. Prison clearance is essential.
