ICT Technical Procurement Specialist

Within the Data Centre Relocation Project, the TECHNICAL PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST will work closely with technical Architects in different areas to define solutions that support the redesigned or improved business processes and bind the overall business, enterprise and technical architectures into an overall integrated solution.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE (BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO):- - Translate technical architecture into procurement ready and procurement answerable documents
- Rapidly create project deliverables, particularly for project procurement phase, including presentations and RFQ documentation
- Formulate, develop and present the 'Case for Action' for the data centre relocation project and
- Present and represent key business architectural artefacts to necessary parties and work with the technology architects, to ensure overall proposed solution designs or approaches support the architecture or business need
- Assist technical operations in understanding and translating vendor technical responses into implications and impact on design, delivery and ongoing operations

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Detailed knowledge and experience in Commonwealth Government procurement processes and in particular creation and evaluation of artefacts to support these processes.
- Proven ability to bundle solution designs to go to market and seeks solutions to address areas of concern or requiring change
- Extensive business architecture experience working in complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating proposals, business cases and projects updates on new solutions and assisting teams in the evaluation an interpretation of proposed solutions.
