ICT System Engineer

For our customer, a telecommunication provider based in Zurich, we are currently looking for a Junior/Professional Network
- troubleshooting and incident handling
- Shell Scripting documentation, improvement and training and know-how sharing in SOC

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Firewall, Proxy and IDS/IPS security policy implementation, configuration, audit and compliance;
- Firewall, Proxy and IDS/IPS-related incident handling;
- Install and upgrade of security devices;
- Disaster and Recovery of security devices;
- Participation in change, capacity, problem and life cycle managements;
- Execution of necessary actions to address security events/incidents;
- High and intensive Customer interaction.

SKILLS:

- Good understanding of networking design principles and protocols (eg TCP/IP, IPv4 and preferably IPv6)
- Good understanding of OSI Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4-7 networking concepts
- Experience with one or more security technologies include different Firewall platforms (Check Point, Juniper, Sidewinder and Palo Alto), BlueCoat proxies and Palo Alto IDS/IPS is essential;
- Hands-on experience in security policy configuration and implementation and/or operation of one or more security technologies such as Firewalls, Proxy, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus and content filtering, URL filtering, authentication solutions, VPN, RAS are required;
- Strong experience in troubleshooting.
- Shell Scripting know-how and experience on Linux is a significant plus.
- Certifications in any of above-mentioned Internet Security Systems technologies will be considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in written and oral German and English
