As an ICT Security Engineer you will be part of our internal information security team which makes sure the confidentiality integrity and availability of information and technology assets within our firm is guaranteed. As a member of this small team you will support and develop the various identified security priorities under the guidance and supervision of your manager.You will:

- communicate and ensure compliance with local and international firm information security policies and standards procedures processes and risk management standards
- take responsibility for on-going security monitoring and organise regular (follow-up) audits to detect and mitigate security risks (network systems applications processes and outsourced services assessments)
- perform analyses of network security needs and contribute to design integration and installation of hardware and software in close collaboration with other ICT team members
- analyse troubleshoot and correct network (security) problems remotely and on-site
- optimise the security of perimeter security systems such as firewalls intrusion detection and prevention systems and SIEM log management
- manage small security projects
- maintain and optimise an information security incident response plan
- respond to security requests from the business by providing adequate support delivering the necessary know-how and sound advice
- actively promote and improve security awareness within the firm (e.g. communicate security policies educate end users give best practice advice)
- cooperate with international peers on security matters (sharing your experiences and knowledge) and participate in global project initiatives

Profile:

As an ICT Security Engineer you have:

- a minimum of three years of related IT experience of which two years should be in security
- experience in and a basic understanding of the following domains:
- vulnerability and patch management
- general network knowledge (TCP/IP routing VLANs DNS/DHCP VPNs...)
- firewall and IDP systems (Juniper) SIEM log management solutions (RSA enVision)
- security incident handling
- web application security
- database security
- ISO2700x
- windows operating system security (knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies is a plus)
- security awareness programmes
- project methodology (knowledge of Prince2 is a plus)
- a solid team-player attitude with a strong analytical mind and the empathy to look at problems and opportunities from alternative perspectives
- the ability to communicate in Dutch French and English both verbally and written
- a proactive precise and autonomous attitude
- a passion for ICT security. You are highly motivated to continuously learn new products and technologies
