ICT Security Analyst - Risk, Architecture - Federal Government

A highly regarded Federal Government department based in Canberra is looking to engage an experienced ICT SECURITY ANALYST to join their ICT team on an initial 4 month contract with possible extensions.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, BUT NOT LIMITED TO :

- Performing risk management based technical security assessments against the PSPF and ISM;
- Providing technical assistance to Technology projects to ensure compliance with Commonwealth and industry best practice;
- Undertaking ICT Security risk assessments on proposed system designs and report on compliance with the PSPF and ISM; Configuring, maintaining and monitoring security infrastructure including Firewall policy, content filtering and IDS; and
- Writing documentation including SOP, SSP, SRMP and ICT Security policy.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

- Full understanding of Government ICT security compliance requirements and experience in their effective application;
- Demonstrated experience in conducting ICT security technical architecture, assurance reviews and capability to work with clients to identify and implement solutions;
- Demonstrated experience in ICT Security risk assessments;
- Demonstrated experience with technical ICT Security infrastructure including Firewall policy, content filtering and IDS;
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
