ICT OFFICER ( DEVELOPER)

£12 - £40 PER HOUR LTD

PART TIME - 21 HOURS PER WEEK (3 DAYS)

TEMPORARY CONTRACT UNTIL 31/03/2014

Are you a C#/ASP.NET programmer, with experience in providing websites/applications that integrate with third party applications to provide a seamless user experience? Are you conversant in the support, maintenance and development of applications such as Lagan CRM, Civica EDRMS and ESRI GIS (or similar/related programs)? Have you experience in managing system upgrades/other ICT projects to successful conclusions?

Experience in using EDRMS, GIS and CRM is essential to the role.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience:

- XML-based integrations
- HTML5/jQuery/JavaScript
- Exposure to the development of mobile applications (Andriod, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and iPhone)
- PHP
- SQL - T-SQL - PL/SQL
- Batch Processing (Unix-based)(Desirable)
- Lagan CRM (or desirable, other CRMs)
- ESRI GIS (or desirable, other GIS)
- Civica EDRMS (or desirable, other EDRMS)
- Hornbill SupportWorks (or desirable, other ITSM system)
- E-Forms (Achieve or desirable, other E-Form system)

The position maintains and develops key website services (such as e-forms, MyICT and WhereILive) as well as services and application services and services such as LLPG integrations with key systems (such as Lagan), as well as development support on key internal GIS sites.

Furthermore, developments in Southend Borough Council's EDRMS software require work to start on enabling e-forms on-line to integrate directly via the Council's website to EDRMS, bypassing the CSC (where forms are currently manually keyed in by staff). This will require XML/integration experience.

MySouthend, a recent resurrected project, is due to go-live again shortly and your skills will be required to ensure stability and website presentation issues/changes are managed.

As well as working as part of a corporate applications team, delivering business-as-usual, opportunities have arisen for the delivery of the following ICT projects:

- Barcoding (ICT Assets)
- Internal ICT service/incident reporting
- Time recording and attendance application
- GIS-based on-line services tool
- ICT Service Catalogue
