ICT Frontline Delivery Officer

This role has been released on a temporary basis initially for 3 months.They are looking for a ICT Frontline Delivery Officer to be based form Dorchester.

Main responsibilities and duties
* Undertake and monitor defined operational tasks as requested to ensure ICT services perform at an optimal level and initiate escalation processes when exceptions occur.
* Responsible for ensuring that privileged information is treated with maximum security and discretion.
* Be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement in performance across the service and within the team with a particular emphasis on supporting corporate plan objectives, ICT customer satisfaction and reducing cost of ICT service provision.
* Undertake other duties as directed appropriate to the character and general level of responsibility of the post.
* Produce regular reporting on the performance of ICT services as directed.
* Provide basic support and maintenance services to resolve incidents passed from the service desk and/or less experienced officers.
* Implement and test basic system changes following standard procedures under routine supervision.
* Provide in depth support and maintenance services, in the postholders areas of expertise, to resolve incidents passed from the service desk and/or less experienced officers.
* Test and implement changes in the postholders areas of expertise to ICT systems providing coaching to the service desk and/or less experienced officers to ensure service levels are maintained and improved.
* Post holders will undertake their duties working under limited supervision and will be expected to contribute to solutions using in-depth knowledge and skills.
* Contribute towards developing system standards & methods to monitor quality assurance with a view to driving continuous improvement in performance across the service and areas of expertise.
* To work collaboratively with the other members of the service to ensure a consistent and whole authority approach to the delivery of ICT services in support of the Council's vision for ICT.

It would be an advantage if you had completed this kind of work within a Local Authority or other similar organisation.
