ICT Assets Manager/Accountant

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICT ASSETS MANAGER/ACCOUNTANT to work with a WELL-KNOWN GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT. In this role, you will manage a small and experienced asset team focussing on asset management & accounting services.

FURTHER DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Coordinate the analysis, recording and reporting of asset transactions for ICT projects and other asset acquisitions.
- Provide timely scheduled management reporting and investigate exceptions with regard to asset movements, month end AUC balances, assets workload, asset life-cycles and stocktake outcomes.
- Oversee and provide advice to all stakeholders on the asset disposal process, allowing for timely recommendations regarding disposal methods that achieve value for money outcomes while maintaining compliance with departmental policy.
- Maintain and enforce compliance through direct reporting to the Director with asset management methods and processes, and develop strategies to combat non-compliance.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

- Demonstrated ability to manage asset portfolios within the Public Service, IT, construction or telecommunications industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and meet delivery dates in an environment of competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to provide advice sound advice to key stakeholders on asset life cycle management, and accounting policy and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and the ability to interact with various people of diverse backgrounds, knowledge and expertise
