ICD-10 HIM Analyst. The position is located in Phoenix, AZ.

The Revenue Services ICD-10 HIM Analyst will work with key customers (business and technology) and vendors to implement defined technology solutions to meet Client's ICD-10 compliance initiative. The HIM Analyst is the subject matter expert surrounding the implementation of all 3M coding and abstracting applications including HDM, SoftMed and CRS, as well as the PWC SMART application for coding compliance. The HIM Analyst will possess an understanding of HIM Business practices to define, analyze, build and implement ICD-10 compliant HIM applications.

In addition to being accountable to direct line management, the ICD-10 HIM Analyst will be accountable to and take direction from the Revenue Services EHR Implementation Managers, HIM Specialist, and Program/Project Managers.

Accountabilities:
Regularly works with the various levels of the user community, business owners and IT Management as needed to meet and exceed customer service level expectations
Continually seek opportunities for operational improvement to increase customer satisfaction and business relationships
Participate in minor or major projects, and may contribute in the development of work plans
Actively participate on new application implementations or upgrades of existing systems including participating in developing technical documentation and policies and procedures
Support leadership with IT directives and strategy and incorporates into daily activities
Participate in internal team meetings, client meetings, vendor meetings, and focus groups
Develop informative, well-organized presentations for delivery to team, user community, business owners and/or IT Management (as needed)
Engage in project issues and contributes in problem management and root cause analysis
Seek to achieve IT's commitment to improve patient care and safety and to support the healthcare workers in their daily responsibilities
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of IT experience in a Healthcare environment
3 years of experience supporting 3M HDM, SoftMed, CRS
2 year of experience supporting SMART(or other Coding Compliance application).
Experience utilizing analytical skills to allow determination of root cause of issues
Experience analysing and comparing data
Computer Assisted Coding application is preferred
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Knowledge of 3M applications and application interconnectivity
Excellent knowledge of healthcare-related software applications and industry standards
Ability to perform file maintenance for upgrades and implementations
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Ability to create, manage and enhance customer and vendor relationships
Highly self-motivated, self-directed, attentive to detail, and analytical abilities
Ability to work in a complex and matrixed team environment; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines
Skills in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Visio
Ability to train end users
Knowledge of AS400 commands and query
Ability to create test scripts and perform testing
