ICA Commissioning Engineer

Position: ICA Commissioning Engineer - Design, Implementation, PLC, iFix, Rockwell, SCADA

JOB TYPE: 3-6 MONTH CONTRACT

Location: Surrey/Sussex

Rate: £30 - £37 per hour

Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit for a contract ICA Commissioning Engineer role on behalf of a client.

The Client: Working for a consultancy for a Utilities client.

THE JOB:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICA engineer with strong knowledge gained in the water industry to join a team in the design, implementation and commissioning of a significant ICA project. This role will be both office and site based and will involve client facing activities such as testing & commissioning and putting to work new systems

Your responsibilities will include PLC programming, testing & commissioning activities.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

You will have strong water industry knowledge and a good understanding of the processes involved in a water treatment works

You will have strong demonstrable experience of PLC programming with Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix PLCs

You will have a good understanding of iFix SCADA application software

Ability to communicate appropriately & concisely at various organisational levels

Ability to lead client conversations and engage on a technical level

Comfortable working in situations without direct supervision.

Commercially aware, taking day to day responsibility for site based delivery of the control system scope

This is a 3-6 month contract role and is commutable from Sussex, Reading, Horsham, Crawley and London.
