IBM ISERIES ADMINISTRATOR - ROTTERDAM - 6 MONTHS

SKILLS: IBM ISERIES, AS400, V5R3, V5R4, IBM ISERIES 6.1, IBM ISERIES 7.1, LPAR

An IBM iSeries Administrator is urgently needed for a long term freelance project based in Rotterdam by one of the leading IT consultancies in the world.  As the lead IBM iSeries Administrator you will be accountable for the maintenance and administration of AS400 (iSeries Servers, multiple partitions).

Initial 6 months contract that is very likely to be extended.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: 

- Experience with iSeries backup and recovery process
- Hands-on experience in supporting iSeries systems (IBM i or AS400) V5R3, V5R4, IBM i 6.1 and 7.1 running on iSeries   Management tools like HMC v7+
- Experience or knowledge in Backup/recovery and specifically using the File system & TCP/IP socket APIs
- Provides disaster recovery plan requirements
- Working knowledge of virtual server technology (LPAR)
- BRMS backup policy administration and manage full backups
