This is an initial contract opportunity running through the end of 2013.Overview

Our Client is seeking an IT Telecom Analyst to provide day-to-day support of Telecom operations for Calgary and Field locations.

Please note that the successful applicant will:

- Be required to be part of a rotational on-call 7x24x365 and work during designated after hours
- Work initially downtown (although location could change in the future).

Role and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will help evaluate and implement Cisco Unified Communication (UC) Applications, including the review and creation of documentation as it relates to the UC environment.

Qualifications

Required Skills

- 3+ years of technical hands-on/operational Cisco Unified Communication experience (Communication Manager, Unity Connection, Voice Gateways)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
- Experience with Cisco CCX, Cisco CER, Cisco Media Sense, Cisco switch's and Cisco Viewmail
- Strong understanding of telecommunication concepts
- Experience in working with telecommunication service providers
- An understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts (such as quality of service - QoS)
- Wireless networking and security skills
- Knowledge and some experience with ServiceNow
- Some experience and knowledge with Microsoft Visio
- A proven ability to develop strong working relationships with clients
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- A fast learner who is very motivated and eager to take on new tasks.
