This is a 6 month contract opportunity with potential to extend. Overview

Our Client is seeking an IT Implementation Analyst, for the installation, layout, monitoring, and maintenance of all network, security, and IT infrastructure components.

Role and Responsibilities

The role will include the following responsibilities:

- Provide training and guidance as well as technical project contributions towards the development of the IT support and infrastructure team in North America.
- Contributed to documentation and process implementation and development.
- Responsible for IT project planning, budgeting, implementation and support.
- Involved in project planning, implementation and support concerning existing/upcoming global Cicso/Microsoft IPT deployment. Inclusive of this is provisioning and support utilizing CUCM and Cisco Unity.
- Involved in project planning, implementation and support with regards to the revamping of corporate wireless network utilizing Cisco hardware/software.
- Provisioning and troubleshooting utilizing the Cisco WCS platform as well as Cisco WLCs for Wifi heat mapping, LWAPP AP configuration/upgrading and deployment.
- Developed, proposed and entered into the implementation stages of an IT project to completely rebuild one of our corporate data centers.
- Developed, proposed and entered into the implementation stages of an IT project to rebuild over eight network distribution points at one of our corporate locations. This includes complete equipment isolation in self-contained and self-cooled NEMA distribution cabinets.
- Completed a project to implement monitoring services in our local data center locations. The purpose of this project was to implement environmental monitoring and alarming, access control and audio/video monitoring for our critical infrastructure.
- Contributed to the development and maintenance of the global network monitoring system utilizing SolarWinds Orion and Fluke NetFlow.
- Contributed to the design, provisioning and support of routing, switching and transport infrastructure.
- Cloud infrastructure support and troubleshooting utilizing the VMware vSphere virtualization platform.
- Microsoft Active Directory management and support.
- Microsoft SMS and SCCM remote administration and software package deployment.

As well, the selected candidate can expect to be responsible for all or some of the following as part of this role:

- Ensure IT Issues are solved properly, analysing, diagnosing and solving operating incidents.
- Manage IT asset life cycle including laptop/Servers/network devices inventory record keeping, maintenance, refresh, decommission, and disposal.
- Provide hardware repair services and follow up on hardware repairs done in house or by vendors.
- Assist with IT infrastructure implementations assisting Operations before and after deployment.
- Ensure agreed Service Support and Operational Levels and produce a monthly availability and data center KPI reports.
- Set up, update, and maintain operating system and software ensuring an adequate level of security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, storage, network, and security production problems.
- Plan, test, recommend, and implement network and security hardware and software.
- Install, configure and maintain network and security components.
- Recommend corrective actions in order to ensure high quality, efficient IT service performance.
- Assist in the support of all aspects of North America IT facilities as applicable to the region, which includes data center, communication rooms, video conferencing, access control, printer network connectivity, HVAC/UPS, power generator, cabling, wireless, and related services.
- Develop and monitor security procedures in compliance with security policies to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data following HSSE guidelines.

Qualifications

Required Skills

- Have a University degree in Computer Science, and at least 4 years previous experience
- Will possess experience or an understanding of the following systems and programs: i) Cisco ii) Checkpoint iii) APC iv) Orion (Solarwinds) v) RADIUS vi) HP UX vii) Oracle viii) Windows 2008 Server ix) Windows 7 x) Windows XP xi) MS SCCM xii) MS Office xiii) VMWare xiv) EMC
