GO Wales work placements are 10 weeks of paid employment in an organisation in Wales. They often lead to longer-term work and are a great addition to your CV.

The project is aimed at graduates in Wales.

UKLC have a combined successful track record of over 25 years they provide a range of residential English Language and activity programmes for groups of students aged 11-17 years.

There is now a position to offer a graduate or third year student from a Graphic Design / Web development related degree discipline, as a Graphic Designer / Website Developer based at their Rossett office. This role is to be based on part time hours (around 10 hours per week) and flexible to be negotiated with the employer, so could fit around your studies or other commitments. You will be responsible for the administration of our content managed websites. In particular you will take ownership for updating the Company's website, project managing content and maximising site traffic. This will include developing the content, layout, visual appearance and usability of all websites and digital projects created for and on behalf of the company and its clients.

Main duties:

Update the company's content managed website system
Responsible for ensuring content, layout, visual appearance and usability are maintained to a high standard
Develop and maintain company online social network sites, such as Facebook & Twitter
Develop and produce PDFs for the company
Develop and produce photograph galleries for the company
Develop and produce video casts for the company
Develop and produce Template documents for use within ACT CRM system
Develop and produce E-marketing campaigns/templates for use within ACT CRM system
Maintain and promote the brand image of MJA Language/Stars Language at all times
Ensure that branding complies with the guidelines of our Industry regulators, such as the British Council
Attend regular meetings with the SMT to help structure workload
Work with all staff members to promote and maintain a positive team atmosphere
Maintain and promote the good name and reputation of MJA Language/Stars Language at all times
The company may, within reason, request you undertake other tasks and duties as needs dictate.

Essential Requirements :

Excellent knowledge of graphic design packages

Experience of writing script and design for websites

Knowledge of ActionScript, Javascript, XHTML, PHP and MySQL

Excellent knowledge of CSS systems such as Drupal, Joomla and Wordpress

Excellent communication skills

Desirable Requirements :

Previous work experience of web content management systems
Video production / editing experience
Enthusiasm and energy
Ability to work to deadlines
Experience of language or sports market
Experience of ACT CRM system

Expected Outcomes :

You will have taken ownership of the company's website, by managing the content of the website, maximising the traffic.

You will have developed the content, layout, visual appearance and usability of the website.
