HVAC Mechanic

OVERVIEW:

- The HVAC department is responsible for providing corrective and preventive maintenance for all infrastructure mechanical equipment
- HVAC department is directly responsible for maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) utilized to track asset maintenance so as to ensure the reliable, efficient and sustained operation of the facility and all equipment.
- Additionally, through daily tasks, we support current project operations and site goal objectives and ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate and site requirements

JOB SUMMARY:

- This position is for an experienced HVAC&R mechanic
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC avoid known hazards in the work environment.
- Reviews safety procedures before beginning each job with known hazards.
- Safety first. Place avoidance of injury or property damage above all other job requirements regardless impact to operations.
- May be required to supervise a crew or project
- May be required to wear some type of respiratory protection in the performance of their duties

SKILLS:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with five or more years of progressive experience working with complex HVAC&R systems and equipment including chillers, pumping systems, heat exchangers, package HVAC units, VAV systems (direct digital, pneumatic and automated control systems), Bio Safety Cabinets, Fume Hoods, and familiarity of cascade refrigeration.
