A global leading biopharmaceutical client requires a HVAC lead experienced in large biotech projects to join their new bio pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Start: September 2015
Duration: Initial 12 month contract (min. 2 years' work)
Reporting to: Life Science Cell Culture (LSCC) Project Manager
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Engineer/SME for HVAC (GMP/Non GMP buildings), initially responsible for review of all Design deliverables from JE including Drawings, Datasheets, specifications and Engineering Lists. Scope includes the review and approval of drawings and technical data regarding HVAC/Air Handling units, chillers/Chilled water, Low pressure hot water, humidification steam, Clean room design, Warehouse cold storage/freezers, glycol system, cooling tower water and compressed air.
Lead on the development of Mechanical, HVAC ductwork, HVAC Control Bid Packages.
Responsibilities include:
* Advising A&E and CM on clients' expectations for bid package contents,
* Assuring that A/E deliverables truly capture existing conditions and site particularities.
* Reviewing A expedites decision making affecting design in support to engineering deliverables in line with project schedule.
* Leading HVAC SWAT Team in relation to punch list closure both pre-M/C and during the CQV execution phase.
* Ensuring compliance with all local codes and regulations
* Involving Global engineering organization as needed to assure alignment with network best practices, equipment platforms, specifications and standards.
*Involving Global engineering Lead as required for critical design reviews and vendor technical discussion
* Assisting the CM and Engineering Manager in the resolution of discipline related technical questions, RFIs, Client request, Vendor Submittals, etc.
Accountable to maintain BOD design intent throughout project execution.
Accountable to budget and schedule attainment in disciplines under responsibility
Reviews and approves commissioning protocols associated with area of expertise.
Supports CM and CQV team on troubleshooting during start-up/commissioning activities
Partners with F preferably Cell Culture facilities, Cold Chain warehouse and Admin/Lab offices
SME on GMP facilities including experience on GMP Classified areas
Experience with liaising with other departments and building PMs/leads, ensuring streamlined HVAC scheduling and planning for all buildings, including LSCC, LOC & CUB/Site Infrastructure.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Minimum of 10 years of experience with HVAC design and construction projects for biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities specifically within cold rooms.
Experience with complex projects and working in or around operating facilities.
Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines. Good organising and planning skills
Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels with customers, vendors, equipment suppliers and operations staff.
Proven success working well in a team environment with flexibility to react to changing business needs.
Strong leadership and communication skills. Problem solver with a focus on achievement of overall project goals.
Computer skills (Spreadsheets, Word Processing, Visio, Microsoft Project)
