HV Electrical Design

SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGNER required for a busy project office delivering engineering design to the Oil & Gas and Petro-chemical industries. Candidates MUST have : - * Minimum HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering * Full familiarity with British and European Electrical Engineering Standards and with 16th Edition of the Electrical Regulations. * Extensive experience in a project design office. * Previous experience in at least one of the above industries. * Full ability in AutoCAD. Role will involve: - * Site investigations to agree technical scope of mods and additions to existing Power, Control, Lighting and Earthing systems. * Proposal of technical solutions * Sizing and specification of Electrical equipment and cabling. * Estimating design and construction costs and schedules. * Production of detail electrical design including all necessary documents, drawings, specifications and schedules. * Liaison with other disciplines and client engineers Successful candidate will be part of a team, but will be self-motivated and capable of taking ownership of issues and problems and be pro-active in progressing design.
