My client is a top financial institution based in London. They are looking for a HR Consultant to provide maternity cover.

The successful candidate will be required to educate managers on established HR best practice and provide guidance on decision making, Support HR Business Partner with ad-hoc employee queries/cases, manage complex sickness/absence cases with the Employee Relations team. Provide HR support for Business Unit (BU) Engagement activity. Support and lead BU restructuring activity, provide change management guidance and training support new business transitions (TUPE) and other ad-hoc business growth scenarios. Demonstrate understanding of company, industry and HR initiatives and trends, build and maintain a valued advisor relationship with managers in order to proactively develop people strategies that support the business. Advise and lead HR initiatives.

- Sickness and absence management
- Talent management reviews by business unit
- Involves engaging with entire management group by Business Unit.
- Compensation planning.
- Strong Consulting Skills
- Knowledge of European Employment Law
- Knowledge of HR Systems
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Good communications skills
- Good team player
- Attention to detail
- Analytical skills & experience would be beneficial
- Excel and Powerpoint skills would be beneficial
