Role: Human Resources Business Partner (12 month contract)
Location: Basingstoke
Thales is recruiting a Human Resources Business Partner in its Basingstoke office for a 12 month contract to provide generalist HR advice for Quintec Associates, within Thales' Security and Consulting Business. This role will involve delivering best practice and commercially focused HR solutions that support the business area whilst always seeking to continuously improve the quality and value of the HR service provided to the business.

The HR Business Partner represents the key contact for line managers & employees on all HR related issues within Quintec.

Key Responsibilities
Acting as the focal point for Recruitment and Employment Relations issues for the Quintec business community.
Planning and implementing annual activities, including salary and performance reviews, as well as coaching line managers as required.
Developing a co-ordinated Training Plan to meet the current needs of the Quintec business and ensuring all agreed training actions are delivered, within budget, across the course of the year.
Regularly provide feedback and updates to the Management Team in respect to training planning and delivery.
Managing and delivering the HR induction process for all new starters within Quintec.
Managing all activity relating to employees leaving Quintec, including reporting exit interview feedback to the management team.
Managing the monthly Quintec payroll submission.
Working with the Quintec Management team and employees to ensure its Investors In People accreditation is maintained by the business, including the coordination of annual review visits and assessments as and when required.
Co-ordinating the Quintec Employee Forum
Ensuring all line managers are equipped with the appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their people eg performance management, absence management and career management.
Developing and implementing co-ordinated Resourcing and Retention Plans to meet the business' current and future needs.
Driving, influencing, advising and supporting the cultural and people aspects of organisational change and business improvement initiatives in order to improve business efficiency and people management.
Working closely with Line Managers to support initiatives to improve overall employee performance, ensuring greater organisational efficiency and driving business improvement.
Participating, and taking the lead where appropriate, in dedicated HR Projects, ensuring the outcomes are delivered on time and that they add value to the organisation

Experience required:

Essential
Proven experience of working as a HR generalist
Understanding of UK Employment Law
Coaching and supporting managers and employees through a range of issues including performance and employee relations issues
HR aspects of Managing Change

Desirable
Being a member of a multi-disciplinary management team
Experience of working within a consulting business
Previous experience of delivering HR projects
Managing remote client groups
CIPD qualification or equivalent professional qualification
