HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CREVE COEUR, MO.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Accurately processes incoming transactions from managers, employees and HGRs to include new hires, terminations, and data changes to salary, cost center, position, tuition reimbursement, etc. Follows up on questions or to secure missing data elements and ensures all approvals are received as per governance. Transaction requests received via phone, e-mail box or askHR.
- Responds to questions and data requests received via 800 line. Provides accurate, timely information, quickly processes requests or escalates to HRG, specialist or partner groups as appropriate.
- Responsible for understanding and effectively communicating policy, ensures consistent information and interpretation is provided on policies/practices. Escalates complex questions or situations to HR Service Specialist or Lead
- Responds to all issues and questions regarding salary calculations, overtime hours, gifts and awards, W-2 and W-4 questions, paycheck questions and discrepancies. Review and request off cycle payments, check replacement/stop payments as appropriate, enter loan payments, and upload payroll files.
- First level support for HR Portal and DPC issues from employees, People Managers and HRGs. Responsible for general troubleshooting and resolving issues regarding view access, appraiser delegate access, or moving document to different status in system as needed.
- Conducts CES portion of Right Start, the new hire orientation program. Presents information and ensures all required forms are completed, includes I-9s, federal and state tax forms, direct deposit, employment agreement.
- Investigates and resolves issues for employee and manager regarding data integrity ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and laws.
- Timely and accurately logs calls and creates and closes cases in Case Management tool.
- Identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for enhancing business operations through better utilization of technology, ie, automating manual tasks/transactions
- Ensures Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and applies broad knowledge of CES policies and procedures on processing transactions
- Ensures 48 hour metric on processing transactions is occurring
- Educates employees of all self service options available

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 1 year prior HR experience, prior experience working with data management systems. SAP system experience preferred
- Strong system oriented, proficient Microsoft Office products
- Spanish Language skills (verbal and written) preferred
- Experience working on teams
- Demonstrated experience in working in an environment which required the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and multi-task
- Ability to identify and implement process enhancements, strong results orientation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong customer focus, good judgment, organized, attention to detail, self-starter, problem solving and decision making ability required
- Demonstrated agility - flexible and comfortable with changes in work assignments as the scope of the role evolves
- High degree of initiative, must be proactive and analytical
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
