Human Factors Engineer

HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEER - HUMAN FACTORS, MILITARY AIRCRAFT, COCKPIT, BEHAVIORAL DESIGN

A Human Factors Engineer with Military Aircraft, Cockpit and Behavioral Design experience is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Lancashire.

This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.

OVERVIEW OF THE HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE

An exciting opportunity exists for a Human Factors Engineer. The multi-disciplinary team provides human factors consultancy support to current Military Aircraft projects covering a diverse range of Human Factors issues applicable to military system design (eg Cockpit Updates, Uninhabited Air Vehicles, Organisational Performance, Product Design, etc.) and aircraft support including Human Factors integration, concept design and development, rapid prototyping, user testing and qualification.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEER

- System Concepts and Design Engineering encompassing: Requirements Capture, Functional/Behavioural Design; Concept DefinitionWorkload Prediction
- Preliminary Design Development encompassing: Design Prototyping, End User Assessment.
- Integrated Design Assessment: Formal Integrated Design Assessment
- System Test and Qualification covering: System Qualification and Verification; Test Planning Preparation and Verification.
- Previous Military experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds
