Human Factors Engineer

HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEER- INTEGRATION/MMI/INTEGRATION/NAVAL

A Human Factors Engineer with human factors, MMI, integration and Naval experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Surrey.

This is a six month contract working for a UK leading defence company.

OVERVIEW OF THE HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE

To identify and define such aspects of Human Factors that are applicable to ensuring optimum performance and integration of the man machine interfaces. Has acquired the necessary competence through theory, experience and skill within discipline and requires minimal supervision.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEER

An experienced Human Factors Engineer is required to act as an Analyst conducting Hierarchical Task Analysis, Human Error Identification, Training Gap Analysis, Training Options Analysis, and contributing to hazard and risk assessment activities relating to a safety-related software system. The ideal candidate will have a degree, or equivalent experience in a Human Factors related discipline. Experience in other areas of Human Factors, particularly safety engineering, human computer interface and human reliability analysis is desirable. In additional to appropriate qualifications the candidate will require excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable them to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. Must be willing to undergo SC clearance.

The role is based in Surrey - commutable from Hounslow, Twickenham, Kingston upon Thames, Mitcham, Croydon, Sutton, Epsom, Leatherhead, Weybridge and Staines with excellent access from London, Hampshire and Berkshire
