Huawei OCS Engineer

Our client is a telecoms company and is looking for an experienced HUAWEI OCS engineer to support the team during the migration of the mobile intelligent network services to a new HUAWEI OCS PLATFORM. The HUAWEI OCS ENGINEER will work at our client in Brussels for at least 6 months.
Scope of work:
Next to the migration related tasks, you will be included in the first and second line maintenance for OSP 2.4 ALCATEL IN platforms carrying the prepaid and Wireless Office VPN services.
Primary responsibilities:
- OCS MIGRATION PROJECT
- Assist the Engineering team to integrate the new platform in the network (HW installation/integration with IT and telco systems)
- Assist the Engineering team in development of the system scripts for platform maintenance
- Assist the Engineering team in the testing of the migration procedure/scripts
- Assist the Operations team to test and deliver all NFR's of the new OCS
- Assist the setup of the migration of services to the new OCS from an operations point of view, follow up on project NFR defects
- Assist the preparation and training of all team members for the new OCS operations
- Operations & Maintenance
- Assist the IN team and other teams further down the network in case of complex IN related network problems or major failures.
- Provide expert knowledge to solve complex problems.
- Participate in 24/7 on call service
- Collaboration with vendors/internal teams
- Follow up on problem reporting and provided solutions
- Collect information needed by the vendor to solve problems
- Capacity and Quality
- Follow up on capacity and quality of the services on the existing platforms
Required skills:
- Huawei OCS ATAE v3
- Alcatel OSP 2.4
- Experience with migration to Huawei OCS platforms
- Experience in an operational environment is a must
- Flexibility to work weekends and nights
- Thorough troubleshooting skills
- Good communicator for technical coaching and X-team workgroups
- Knowledge of: TCP, SCTP, IP (subnetting), HTTP, SSL, SIP, Diameter, SIGTRAN SS7 (M3UA, SCCP)
- Scripting: Shell, Perl
- Environment: UNIX/Linux, Cisco IOS & NX-OS, High Available clusters
- Knowledge of Artilium MVNE services is a plus
