HTS Classification Analyst Job

HTS CLASSIFICATION ANALYSTS needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Santa Clara, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- The parts for this project will be strictly Kits which will need to be broken out and each line item classified. The project is estimated to be 65K lines and run for approximately one year. The candidate needs to be proficient in HTS, GRI's and Explanatory Notes.
- A test will be given as part of the interview process to determine the candidate's knowledge.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The candidate would be responsible for the HTS classification information on materials being imported into the US and Ireland. The project requires first time classification on all materials. The HTS classification will include the US, and Ireland.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- Three to five (3-5) years classification analyst experience full knowledge of HTS classification principles GRI's and Explanatory Notes
- Experience in International Trade, Business, or other related fields"
- Focus of the position is strictly for Import HTS classification
- Candidate must have been supporting HTS classification for at least 3 plus years
- Full understanding of the GRI's, Section and Chapter Notes and Explanatory Notes to support HTS classification
- Prefer experience in the semiconductor industry
- Experience with global (non-US) classification is strongly preferred
- Candidate should not have been away from HTS classification for more than six (6) months
- Ability to interpret CROSS rulings and apply HTS, as applicable
- Ability to quickly adjust to priorities to meet business needs with minimal training
- Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing with time management and organization skills
- Excellent on-line research skills a must
