HSSE/Communications Specialist (Heavy construction background) London 6 months+

My client is looking for a HSSE specialist with specific experience in HSSE IT systems and HSSE communications & strategies. This is an initial six month contract to start ASAP.

ROLE CONTENT AND OVERVIEW

Is Embedded as part of the Core HSSE team to ensure that the organisation has HSSE Communications and system knowledge to support the HSSE function deliver a transformational programme.

Responsible for the delivery of HSSE Communications, with other groups on the project and maintain systems in relation to the provision of the project internal HSSE requirements, for use in the management, delivery and administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SYSTEM

- To be an HSSE Advisor on the creation and development of HSSE systems for use on the project.
- To manage the HSSE input of information into the HSSE systems for the Core HSSE team
- Work with the Engineering team on a strategy for HSSE in BIM.
- Work with the HSSE team in the development and creation of the monthly HSSE report, operating the issue of the report(s) on a monthly basis.
- Act as support to the regional HSSE Leads with respect to IS solutions for area specific HSSE information

COMMUNICATION

- Assist in the development, delivery and implementation of HSSE Communications for both internal staff and contractors
- Lead the Working Group on Communications and Engagement.

REPORTING

- Prepare and issue monthly reports for The Project', Core team, regional areas and Cat 2/3 works.
- Identify trends, both positive and room for improvement
- Provide a report on a two weekly basis on the status of the project to the PEA Manager for dissemination to the HSSE Core team, that identifies where support and assistance is needed - in relation to IS progress in relation to Occupational Health, Security, Education, Communication, Assurance and Performance systems and applications

GENERAL

- Acts as a technical support providing functional direction in the application of HSSE programs.
- Produce required reports and input data in a timely manner and to an agreed standard.
- Deliver Triple Zero initiatives across the area of responsibility maintaining a common approach with other health
- Maintains expert knowledge of specific requirements imposed by regulatory requirements and assigned specific key client requirements.
