HSE Specialist (SEMS) - Training

A worldwide oil & gas E&P Company that entered the Fortune "100 Fastest-Growing Companies" at #78 in 2006 us currently seeking an HSE/SEMS Specialist to join the team in Houston,TX.
Location: Houston, TX

Education: BS in HSE field preferred

Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in oil and gas upstream operations, preferably Gulf of Mexico

Qualifications:

* OSHA 30 hr
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required
* Good organizational skills a must
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and interact effectively in a team environment
* Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

Description:

This position is responsible for ensuring SEMS (30 CFR 250 Subpart S - Safety and Environmental Management Systems) compliance for all Gulf of Mexico Operations (drilling, completions, construction, and production operations) as it relates to Training and Contractor Management.

As such, included in this position's responsibilities are contractor audits and competency reviews, facility and program SEMS audits, and training coordination and data management.

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
