HSE Site Engineer

A renewable energy client is looking for an HSE Site Engineer to complete works on the construction of the client's offshore wind farm. This would be an offshore position, with a rotation: Two weeks on one week off (10 hours per day, average).

Responsibilities

Support HSE Site Manager with tasks on site
Be HSE representatives on sites and be essential in relationships with Contractors
Follow up on the reporting from site

Tasks

Report to HSE Site Manager
Assist HSE Site Manager
Consult, coordinate and communicate with Contractors according to:
o Activities
o Risk assessments and method statements
o Health, safety, security and environmental arrangements
o Overall safety performance
Carry out HSE Site Inspection reports and follow up on findings
Register and follow up on Near Misses and Safety Concerns
Implement Safety Awareness workshops
Conduct Site inductions (onshore)
Ensure that Contractor personnel are adequately trained
Carry out Competence Assessments
Carry out vessel HSE inspections of installation vessels prior to arriving on site
Participate in HSE meetings (at Site HSE Manager's discretion)
Enforce 'no-blame' culture on site
Daily onshore and offshore site presence
Provide HSE feedback to HSE Site Manager
Carry out HSE reviews of Contractor documents
Be familiar and up to date with the discipline Best Practice as applicable such as; design developments, statutory regulations, codes of practice for onshore and offshore industry standards

Qualification of Candidate

Staff with minimum 3 years of experience within HSE and/or Offshore Wind Industry.
Certificate of skill (GWO Safety Training) incl. validity of certificate shall be forwarded.

Special Provision

The Consultant must bring his own mobile telephone.
Onshore Works: the client will provide office facilities available to the Consultant including office space.
Offshore Works: The Consultant shall bring his/her own PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
