Your role is to oversee all Health & Safety issues associated with the joint ventures development by providing independent, authoritative advice, support & assistance to the Line organization on the function of Health and Safety. The role will also be responsible for managing other Health & Safety professionals and the CDM coordinator position within the joint venture team. To be successful in this role you will need to have the following attributes. Education/Qualification * NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ 4 in Occupational Health and Safety * Full and detailed understanding of UK Health and Safety Law, specifically The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations * Trained in Accident Investigation * Trained in Auditing Techniques * Basic IT Skills to produce reports * Membership of a recognized Health & Safety organization i.e. IOSH Experience * Minimum five years full time experience in Health and Safety management in theUnited Kingdom * Mechanical / Electrical Background * Experience in the Wind Industry * Experience in working in a high hazard industry such as construction / power industry. * Experience of safety management systems * Experience with Client / Contractor relationships & Management Skills, knowledge, strengths * Good communication skills both verbally and written. * Able to develop working relationships with fellow employees, contractors and external stakeholders. * Organized, with the ability to prioritize work load & tasks. * Assertive, where necessary. * Proactive and pragmatic in applying experience to operational issues. * Keep up to-date through continual professional development If you feel you are missing out on the personal development and leadership opportunities you deserve apply now.
