HSE Advisor

Progressive Global Energy are working with a market leader within the Oil and Gas industry. With over 40 years of continious business history, this organisation are at the forefront of their industry sector.

There is now an opening for an experienced HSE Advisor.

JOB ROLE:

To perform the role of Competent Person and provide Health, Safety and Environmental support and advice to all areas of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To be responsible for the compliance and assurance process associated with the Health and Safety Management System (SMS) and Environmental management System (EMS)
* To actively monitor and ensure that the Environmental Management System (EMS) controls all environmental activities that may expose company property to risk, loss or damage
* To establish and maintain a programme of hazard identification and risk assessments for all business areas and to participate in the Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment reviews with the responsible supervisors and users.

Support/Advice/Induction

* To support theHSEManager in maintaining and monitoring a robust Safety Management System and Environmental System compliant with OHSAS 18001:2007 (SMS) and BS EN ISO 14001 (EMS)
* To liaise with Customers' or Suppliers' representatives on HSE matters and participate in relevant Customers' or Suppliers' HSE meetings.
* To support the ongoing development of Competence Management System within the organisation through training / coaching the management and staff on safety and environmental matters

Audits/Corrective Action/Accidents

To perform internal and external audits as the business dictates reporting to management when it is judged that any ongoing activities would have an adverse effect on the safety or quality of the work

Qualifications

Achieved or working towards NEBOSH Diploma Part 1 & 2 In Occupational Health & Safety

Internal Audit qualification

Experience

A minimum of 3 years experience as a HSE Coordinator working in UK Industry.

Auditing experience.

This is a full time position based in Aberdeen.

The salary is negotiable and dependant on the candidates level of skill and experience.
