The role

Recent changes to the HR Operations function have led to an exciting opportunity for a HRIS Analyst to join the HRIS function, reporting directly to the HR Information Systems Architect. The opportunity is initially for a 6 months period with a potential to go permanent.

The HR Information Systems team is a robust and integrated function and this opportunity will allow you to develop your analytical and systems skills through supporting systems implementations and upgrades along with developing reports to make a genuine difference to the way the business utilises key information.

Key responsibilities for the HR Information Systems Analyst:

- Act as the system administrator for the HR and Payroll system and ensure changes are done following best practice and change control procedures for audit purposes.
- Maintenance of payroll Back Office system settings (formulas, pay elements, pay group configurations)
- Apply and test batch updates of payroll and pension related data (ie migration to new pension plans)
- Maintenance of interfaces between Northgate PSE and other in-house or external systems (through the use of Toad, and PS Scheduler)
- Maintenance and management of system reports and scheduled scripts
- Work with the HR Information Systems architect in the delivery of HRIS projects including - new system implementations, system releases, improvements and upgrades, etc.
- Produce complex reports out of the system and support other HRIS and HR operations analysts in producing and using existing reports (using Cognos Impromptu, Toad)
- Propose and implement improvements for the HR Information Systems, with a focus on the HR and Payroll system

Skills, experience & qualifications required:

Essential

- Excellent knowledge of HR, payroll and CRM/case management systems with sound understanding of underlying service delivery processes and statutory requirements in the area
- Required knowledge and experience: HR system administration (preferably Northgate PSE), SQL (Microsoft, Oracle - including development of stored functions and procedures), VB/VBScript, Toad
- Technical knowledge in at least 2 of the following: C#, HTML, CSS, SSIS, SSRS, JavaScript, Web services, XML, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, Citrix
- Experience in the administration of an HR/payroll system (preferably Northgate PSE)

Desirable

- Database administration (SQL)
- HR systems administration
- Experience working in a service delivery centre (HR, Finance, Customer support, Call centre)/delivering against SLAs
