My client is a Public Sector organisation keen to take on a HRBP with strong workforce planning and resourcing experience.

Key responsibilities and objectives

Implementation and delivery of People plan for their key client Groups

*Support senior managers to create a high performance workplace by developing strategies for improving performance, capability and skills, and reducing sick absence.
*Working with Senior Managers proactively to plan, advise and support the implementation of change ensuring full consideration is given to people issues (eg TUPE, Organisation Design and Development, TU Consultation, redeployment) and compliance with legal requirements.
*Analysis of management information to provide strategic advice and recommendations to the business for the effective development of employee engagement strategy and to monitor its impact in the business.

Strategic Workforce planning and resourcing
*Identify and implement effective resourcing strategies to deliver "the right people in the right place at the right time".
*Support Groups undertaking workforce and succession plans and ensuring the effective deployment of people.
*Collaborate with the business to fully understand their key performance issues, objectives and drivers and associated people requirements for both the current and future challenges.

Skills and capability
*Work with managers to create learning and development plans that will build long term capability for the Department as well as meeting short term team needs.
*Support managers to identify critical posts and put in place succession plans.
*Ensures that leaders understand and are fully engaged with talent identification and succession activities and processes.

Policy Implementation
*Implementation of HR policies and providing effective services to support business change.
*Coaching and supporting managers to improve their leadership and capability to manage performance effectively.
*Provide constructive feedback of the business perspective to Civil Service Employee Policy (CSEP) and policy team to ensure policies meet business needs.

Demonstrates the HRBP knowledge and skills particularly:
*Has an up to date understanding of Employment Law and knows what the organisation needs to do to mitigate risk.
*Understanding of best practice in workforce planning, building capability and talent management.
