HR Technology Strategy Lead - Financial Services

The HR Technology Strategy Lead will be responsible for developing and growing an HR Technology roadmap for this, Investment Company, globally. The successful candidate will also manage a diverse range of projects in terms of scope, size and complexity, with resources located in the UK, India and Asia Pacific with a combination of direct and Matrix reporting lines. With full end to end responsibility from proposal stage through to implementation for allocated projects, the candidate will be required to develop relationships with the business, technology subject matter experts such as technical architects and with 3rd party solution providers.

Your key accountabilities
*Establish a strong working relationship with stakeholders within global HR at all levels of the organisation
*Work closely with the business to develop a clear technology roadmap in line with strategic goals set out by HR department
*The candidate will be expected to leverage their experience of 3rd party solutions to develop a proposed approach, taking into account internal priorities and timelines, and funding constraints
*Create a proposal for an appropriate support model that is aligned with the global HR footprint and the technology product roadmap
*Lead projects that are defined by the roadmap taking responsibility for ensuring they are planned, organised, controlled and delivered in line with agreed timescales, budgets and the internal project delivery approach
*Ensure initiatives are co-ordinated across multiple Technology and HR groups and locations

Your skills and experience
*Delivery and results focused and the ability to manage complex senior client relationships
*Proven background building strategy roadmaps and delivering into a HR function
*Ability to work alongside the HR Team to deliver a programme of work
*Market experience of working with HR applications and tools. HR Access desirable but not essential
*Proven offshore management skills - this will include developing an offshore capability
*Excellent communication skills including an ability to establish a strong rapport, communicate and influence at all levels
*Proven ability to present clear arguments to senior people in both IT and business, in such a way that initiatives are supported and obstacles to delivery surmounted
*Sound business and technical understanding and the commercial acumen to exploit IT for competitive advantage
*An ability to work at differing levels of detail, both big picture concepts and complex detailed issues
*Skilled planner, able to focus on the key goals and manage path deviations creatively and with minimum confusion
*Ability to take high level directions/ideas and turn these into the required deliverables with the minimum of guidance
*Pragmatically apply knowledge and experience to ensure activities/processes undertaken as conducted in a cost effective manner
*Practical experience of management and motivation of teams.
*Strong IT management and team leadership skills
*Excellent communication and presentation skills
*Experience of selecting, managing and working with a third party vendor or system integrator
*Good customer awareness, with ability to manage customer expectations, and service-oriented
*Ability to work with clients to a senior level
*Excellent planning and organisational skills
*Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing and expanding environment

Essential skills
*Proven IT HR Systems Management experience across the whole project life cycle with a track record of successful implementations and strong business relationships
*Background within Financial Services specifically delivering projects within a Central Functions team
*Managed projects with direct responsibility for budgets of £5M+
